Collaborative Venue Collide ATX Finally Opening
The newest venue to jump onto the eclectic Austin scene is proving to be just as diverse as the city! Collide ATX has replaced Burn Pizza + Bar on East 6th Street to convert the area into a collaborative space that will feature new food, music and art from around the world. Collide plans to welcome guests from cities near and far, including Mexico City, Montreal, Warsaw, Seoul and more.
The venue is planning to showcase projects that reflect the uniqueness of all the things Austin. In Collide’s press release, the list of potential gatherings at the space include limited menu seatings, cooking demos, music industry happy hours, art exhibitions, musical performances, lecture series and panels and weekend festivals just to name a few! When these events aren’t going on, Collide ATX plans to have a restaurant and bar run by a series of rotating chefs, which will be open to the public. As if that wasn’t enough, the venue will function as a free daily workspace for the Austin creative community.
Slated for a February 1st opening, Collide ATX is proving to be one of the city’s most ambitious projects. Their first guests in the space will be Chef Patrick Armstrong and Co-Owner Clayton Young of local food truck BOCA (Spain and Mexico inspired cuisine). In the heart of East Austin, this transformative space is sure to make its home in the eclectic arts neighborhood.
